Near Mint, Leitz Right-Angle Finder for early 1930’s Black Leica I, II & III cameras.
Leica camera not included!
This is a very lovely view finder from Leitz. Carefully constructed of brass with a black lacquer finish that perfectly matches early Leica cameras. This finder is designed to fit Leica Standard cameras (the screw-mount cameras without a built-in rangefinder).
It was often in the 1930’s used as an aid for candid photography. Naturally it could also be used for other purposes as well. This example is in immaculate condition and shows only a bit of wear on the tab that slides into the Leica’s accessory shoe and has evidently spent most of its 80 years tucked away carefully in its box which is included in this sale.
(Just a random photo borrowed from the internet showing a similar finder in use on a Leica III)
