Cleaned, Lubricated & Adjusted. Ready for immediate use!

This is a lovely Agfa Isolette III which was produced in Germany between 1951-1960. It produces twelve 6x6 exposures on easy to find 120 roll film.  When it comes to photography, bigger is better and this camera will produce a big negative that’s four times larger than the average 35mm snapshot. The real appeal is that all of this is that these photos are produced by a camera that folds up into a small package and slides easily into an unused corner of your camera bag or backpack. So whether you're interesting in very fine grain, rich tonal values, lovely colors or big enlargements, this camera can do it all and its compact size will never give you a reason to leave it at home.

In contrast to the original Isolette and later variations (such as the I, II, V and L) this camera features a built-in rangefinder as a focus aid. The rangefinder is a nice feature which allows you to optically measure the distance to your subject, then you simply set the lens accordingly.

This Agfa has been carefully cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. The bellows have been inspected and are light tight. The coated Apotar f4.5/85mm lens is a classic three element design based on the classic Cooke triplet. A design that’s very popular lens because of the lovely sharpness, rendering and bokeh. The lens looks like new and is very clean and clear. There are no scratches, no cleaning marks. No haze, crystallization, separated elements or other problems and it’s capable of producing lovely photos with modern color and B&W films.

The shutter works smoothly and all speeds are appropriate. It has a flash sync. connector that’s been adjusted and tested. It works with a normal electronic flash. The flash will fire correctly at any desired shutter speed. (A very convenient feature for flash fill.)

All in all, a very nice collectable classic camera. Load it with your favorite film and keep it handy for that perfect shot you’ve been looking for. You know the one... the one with the perfect Ansel Adams light breaking through the dark storm clouds that leaves you wishing that you had a medium format camera with you...
