Near Mint! Nikon Nikonos IV-A with 2.5/35mm Nikkor lens. Fully tested and working!

$ 325.00 USD

The Nikonos IV-A is a camera produced by Nikon between 1980-1983. It accepts interchangeable lenses, features aperture priority autoexposure (you select the f-stop and the camera automatically sets the correct shutter speed), TTL light, an accurate electronically controlled shutter metering and aperture-priority. It also has a setting for mechanical speed of 1/90th second and a mechanical "B" setting.

Although it was originally designed for underwater photography, the Nikons IV-A works superbly above water too. It’s a super rugged camera that won’t let you down no matter how filthy the work or how wet the weather. For this reason it’s become a cult classic with anyone who needs a rugged do-it-all camera. Perfect for play at the beach, outings in a dusty desert or serious photography in the muck and grime of photojournalism.

It’s the perfect rugged camera for nearly any activity that that’s too rough or sandy or dusty or wet for your expensive camera. It accepts normal 35mm film and works with your favorite color-slide, color-print or B&W films.

This camera is from my personal collection and it works perfectly. Even though I’m not a diver and I’ve never used it under water, I always loved the design. The superb fast, sharp f2.5/35mm interchangeable lens is beautiful. The glass is clean, clear and scratch free. The focus and aperture adjustments work smoothly and it’s capable of producing very lovely photos.

All in all, a very enjoyable camera. Load it with your favorite film and keep it handy for that perfect shot you’ve been looking for. You know the one... the one with the perfect light breaking through the dark storm that leaves you wishing that you had this camera with you…
