Complete with original packaging!

This is a lovely Nikon in near mint condition. It’s a cult classic because of the CCD sensor and its wonderful build quality. You'll find countless favorable reviews about this camera on YouTube. Owners love it because of the film-like rendition and lovely colors it produces. It's a rendition that's very similar to the Leica M8 but at a fraction of the price. This similarity isn't coincidental. It's because both cameras used nearly identical Kodak CCD sensors which preceded the CMOS sensors we use today. So if you're considering a Leica M8 or M8.2 you may want to give this D200 camera first before spending a lot of cash needlessly. 

The D200 was an improvement on the very popular D100 which came before it but had extra features, more megapixels, a bigger screen and was finished to a much higher, professional level. The D200 was also originally priced at $1800, so the quality and workmanship is very noticeable. Like all Nikon semi-pro and pro cameras, it has a tough magnesium frame inside the camera. It also has a built-in focus motor which is missing in later, cheaper models. 

This brings us to a third reason to acquire this camera. Its lens mount and focus motor means that it functions perfectly with nearly any Nikkor lens you mount on it.  I still have a Nikon F3, an F4, and an FE2 with various lenses in my collection. And even though I haven't used them in a very long time, I appreciate that my manual AI & Ais  Nikon lenses work flawlessly and meter correctly on the D200. (Naturally it also works with AF-D and AF-S autofocus Nikkor lenes.) 

All in all, it’s a fun to use camera that'll allow you to dust off your Nikkor glass and take them out into the world again.
