It’s a 6x6 TLR camera that uses 120 roll film. It was and is a popular the camera and even today it’s often mentioned on websites as an excellent way to get into medium format photography. It’s a wonderful design that just like the Leica, inspired countless copies over numerous decades. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif;\"\u003eThe camera in this listing is the real deal and about as good as it gets. It’s in superb condition and it’s been carefully serviced so you can count on it to you many years of pleasure. The serial number on top of this camera (1087054) indicates that it was produced in Germany in circa 1947. Nearly 80 years after it left the factory it still looks fresh and clean and works beautifully. The slow speeds buzz along smoothly and the faster ones are clean and snappy. \u003cspan style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\"\u003eF\u003c\/span\u003eocusing is smooth and accurate, the mirror is very clean and the image on the matt glass is bright and easy to see. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif;\"\u003eThe coated Schneider Xenar\u003cb\u003e \u003c\/b\u003e3.5\/75mm \u003cspan style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\"\u003elens\u003c\/span\u003e is in exceptionally fine condition. The Schneider Xenar and the Tessar share a near identical four element design and performance for both of these lenses is outstanding. The lens is clean and clear.
