$ 275.00 USD

Cleaned, Lubricated & Adjusted. Ready for immediate use

In this listing we have a delightful Voigtlander Vito II. It’s an attractive 35mm folding camera designed to look like a miniature Bessa II. It was produced by Voigtlander in Germany for only four years, between 1950 -1954. It features great build quality,  delightful handling and an extremely quite shutter all wrapped up in real leather and satin chrome. It uses normal 35mm film.

This circa 1952 Vito camera is in superb condition. This one is fitted with the top-of-the-line Compur Rapid shutter and had been carefully serviced. All the speeds (B, 1 sec - 1/500th) are appropriate. It also has a flash connector that’s been re-adjusted and now works with a normal electronic flash, (rather than flashbulbs.) The flash will fire correctly at any desired shutter speed. This is of course convenient for flash fill.

The lens is a coated 50mm Color-Skopar lens. This is a four element lens, very similar in design and performance to the Zeiss Tessar. The lens is in exceptionally fine condition. It’s clean and clear. There’s no scratches or cleaning marks and it’s capable of producing beautiful photos on modern color and B&W films.

It comes complete with its original brown leather case.

All in all, an exceptionally fine, enjoyable camera from the 1950’s. Load it with your favorite film and you’ll probably discover that you have a new favorite photographic companion to share your adventures with.
