1954 Voigtlander 35mm Vito II, Freshly Serviced! CLA'd
Cleaned, Lubricated & Adjusted. Ready for immediate use
(Bessa II not included)
This is the delightful Voigtlander Vito II. It’s an attractive folding camera designed to look like a miniature version of the exclusive 6x9 Bessa II. Conceived as a small 35mm companion camera for well heeled buyers, it was produced by Voigtlander in Germany for only four years between 1950 -1954. It uses normal 35mm film and features outstanding build quality, delightful handling and an extremely quite shutter all wrapped up in the finest leather and satin chrome.
This camera is in excellent condition and everything works as it should. Additionally the shutter has been carefully cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. All the speeds (B, 1 sec - 1/300th) fire smoothly and all shutter speeds are appropriate. It also has a flash connector that’s been adjusted and works with a normal electronic flash. The flash will fire correctly at any desired shutter speed. (This is of course convenient for flash fill)
It’s equipped with a beautiful f3.5/50mm Color-Skopar coated lens. This is a four element lens, very similar in design and performance to the Zeiss Tessar. The lens is in exceptionally fine condition. It’s clean and clear. There are no scratches, no cleaning marks and it’s capable of producing beautiful photos on modern color and B&W films.
All in all a very fine little camera capable of big results. Load it with your favorite film and you’ll have a photographic companion that you’ll enjoy for many years to come.
